The stereo recordings made by Bruno Walter (1876-1961) from 1957 to 1961, during his later years, are the most important performances in the vast discography of this great conductor of the 20th century, and are the most important recordings of his long musical career. This is a collection of masterpieces that can literally be called a ``world heritage'' of recordings, which are the result of various experiences and deep insights from his activities. This series, Walter's first full-fledged hybrid product that systematically reissues all stereo recordings by composer, is a new remix and remaster of the original analog 3-track master for the first time in 21 years since 1998. It brings back the unique sound engraved on the original master. The fourth volume is a collection of Brahms' works, including four symphonies, the University Celebration and Tragic Overture, Haydn Variations, a double concerto with Francescatti/Fournier, two vocal pieces, and Schumann's piano concerto with Istomin. coupling.
